DiDue Tessile SpA: A research-focused company with “bags” of experience.
DiDue Tessile SpA is a small, all-Italian business that has been designing and manufacturing its own products since 1985. These products include handbags (both flexible and rigid), cosmetic bags, leisure bags, daily use bags, sport bags, briefcases and other custom-made products for the bag sector.
The concept underpinning the design of each product is based at once on the search for optimum simplicity – with a view to producing bags that are suitable for daily use by an extensive array of customers – and also on the commitment to achieving the highest possible standards of quality. This discipline is the sine qua non of the company’s cutting-edge, customised, technologically advanced products, which use a wide range of fabrics and feature innovative combinations of materials.
Our commitment to quality and simplicity is applied day in, day out, at our research and design centre in Bergamo, where we select the lines, fabrics and designs that will give rise to our new products. The products are then manufactured at our two facilities in Italy and Romania, with some production now outsourced to a recently acquired partner in the Far East.
DiDue Tessile’s “Dynamic Bags” project was launched in an effort to co-ordinate the management of the design and manufacturing processes, in order to deliver well-balanced products that are both highly functional and aesthetically appealing.
DiDue Tessile has recently signed a worldwide licensing agreement on the design, manufacture and distribution of a line of leisure and sport bags with Chervò, a leading brand in the high-performance sports-clothing sector. The R&D operations for this new range will be carried out at DiDue Tessile’s facility within the Kilometro Rosso Technology Park.
The site within Kilometro Rosso makes it possible for DiDue Tessile to work as part of a consolidated system, since it will give the company access to a network of contacts within a hub of excellence that is very much geared towards research and technology. Thanks to this important development, we look forward to the success of the “Dynamic Bags” project, which will see the deployment of new applications, increased innovation and an expansion of the product range. In other words, this new site is set to be the engine of our future.
