The building stands alongside the Centro delle Professioni and directly abuts the red wall. Although the building stands as a unitary whole, it consists of three distinct functional blocks, which extend into the park over 250 metres. The various work spaces are arranged over the four above-ground floors. A central backbone runs through these floors, and contains all the links between floors and the open green areas over which the internal corridors look.
The project focuses particularly on the environmental quality of the workplace: the presence of greenery inside the building, the abundance of natural light coming in from outside, and the glass dividing walls between the various administrative offices are some of the choices underlying the sophisticated harmony of this building.
The exterior architecture uses formal and technological features that give the building a distinctive look. This is the result of a combination between the linear composition of the volumes and surfaces, and the use of cutting-edge high-tech solutions for the choice of materials and technologies.
The façades present a variety of different solutions. The eastern front is defined by the unfussy design of unbroken insulating facades. The west and south sides feature a sequence of full-height vertical metal blades placed over the glazed surfaces, screening them from the sun’s rays.
