Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes S.p.A., a fifty-fifty joint venture between Brembo and SGL Group operational since June 1, 2009, is a leading company in the development of carbon-ceramic brake systems (CCM) as well as in the manufacturing of carbon-ceramic brake discs, exclusively for the passenger car and commercial vehicle markets.
The joint venture, committed to research and development for innovative materials, also focuses on the automated production of the next generation of carbon-ceramic brake discs for the broader car market.

Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes employees approximately 350 people at its sites in Stezzano, at the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park (Italy), and Meitingen (Germany).

The carbon/carbon material is being used since the 1970s for braking systems for aerospace vehicles and since the 1980s for the racing world. Since the 2000s, Carbon Ceramic Material is being used in the production of braking systems for sports cars.
The CCM guarantees advantages in terms of performance in dry and wet conditions, weight, comfort, corrosion resistance, high lifetime, and technical image.
The current customer base of Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes includes, among others, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Daimler, Ferrari, General Motors, Lamborghini, and Porsche.
