The China-Italy Technology Transfer Center (CITTC) is the cooperation platform aimed at promoting internationalization activities in the research-industry system between China and Italy.
Promoted in Italy by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and in China by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission (BMSTC), the CITTC represents the technical partner of the institutions in the organization of research enhancement activities and in the bilateral technology transfer process.
The CITTC intends to provide its interlocutors with scouting partners services, support for business matching, and valorization of intellectual property rights, with the aim of promoting the creation of scientific and industrial partnerships that foster mutual investment and talent cultivation in the field of technological innovation. Among other activities, the CITTC also organizes roadshows, thematic symposia, industrial visits for foreign delegations, and mobility programs for students and professionals.
The CITTC is divided into two technical secretariats, situated in Bergamo and Naples, respectively supervised by the University of Bergamo at the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park, and by Città della Scienza with the participation of the University of Naples Federico II – and operates nationally and widespread through Netval, the Network for the Valorisation of the Research.
